These are images which are broadcast around the world every year. The opening is a dazzling festival, with artists from all over the world taking part; the legendary entrance of the young ladies‘ and gentlemen’s committee; the elegantly appointed ballroom; the exquisitely decorated House on the Ring, international guests from the world of culture, business, politics, sports and science. On the one hand, the Vienna Opera Ball combines the Viennese lifestyle with international allure, and on the other the modern stage management of a traditional event.
This is in equal measure a high-spirited ball in a unique atmosphere and the fashionable highlight of the ball season. Over the last two years, it has once again increasingly become an artists’ ball: the Vienna State Opera Orchestra performs under the baton of distinguished conductors for the opening, as do the Wiener Staatsballett and international stars. Besides, the Opera Ball has once more become an extremely popular event where cultural icons from all over the world come together to celebrate.

The Vienna City Marathon (VCM) brings together the classic tourist images of Vienna combined with modern lifestyle. This unique combination of a musical world tradition, cultural heritage and contemporary running event makes the VCM unique.
The fast and scenic course leads to Vienna's most impressive modern and historic points of interest such as the Opera House and Schönbrunn Castle with an impressive finish at ‚Heldenplatz‘ in the very centre of the city. Runners discover their rhythm in tune with the melodies of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the waltz king Johann Strauß with more than ten kilometres of the course resounding to music.
The Fesch'martk Vienna is a very large and colorful design market with a variety of design items from locals to international exhibitors. The Fesch'markt brings young creative people together in an urban marketplace and also offers art, design, food, party and lifestyle. The Fesch'markt has been established in 2010, back then as a small market for friends and family. But it quickly became clear that the whole of Vienna was in search of independent design and so the design market quickly became a very popular festival. Attention to detail is very important here.
The Fesch'markt Wien is home to 220 exhibitors and attracts around 15,000 visitors each time. The design market takes place once in spring / summer and once in autumn / winter.
