Mariahilfer Straße

Clothes and accessories

Mariahilfer Straße is the largest and probably most famous shopping street in Vienna. The street was named after the 6th district Mariahilf in 1897.
Mariahilfer Straße currently has two large shopping centers (Gerngross and Generali Center) and many individual shops. Clothing stores (H&M, P&C, C&A, Benetton, etc.), decoration shops (Flying Tiger, Depot, Butlers, etc.), electronics retailers and much more, are offered on Mariahilfer Strasse. On Mariahilfer Straße there are also numerous cafes and restaurants where you can take a short break.
The side streets are a great insider tip, there are really great and special shops.
Saturdays are always very busy here - for a quieter shopping experience I recommend mornings during the week.

You can reach Mariahilfer Straße from almost all sides - from the Westbahnhof, Museumsquartier, Neubau or Zieglergasse.

Hours of the shops:
Mo-Fri: 9am-6.30pm
Sa: 9am-5/6pm
