A quiet small cafe during the day and a local bar at night - that is Letka. A place with a sense for detail beginning with rustic walls of former Austro-Hungarian coffee shop, glass chandaliers and massive wooden tables finishing with prints on cushions, small flower compositions and cups for coffee.
The cafe serves quality coffee from Five Elephant in Berlin, breakfast and evening menu, freshly toasted sandwiches, local cakes, natural homemade lemonades, cocktails and beer from Matuška brewery. Letka is located next to Letná park.
Jazz Dock - jazz&blues bar and cafe anchored on the Vltava bank quite a while ago. For 10 years of its existence it has become one of the leading jazz clubs in the Czech Republic. It regularly holds concerts of international and Czech jazz bands and participates in jazz festivals.
Thanks to unique location and construction of the venue with picture windows overlooking the river and evening lights of the city, Jazz Dock has unforgettable atmosphere that makes people keep coming back. Visitors recommend the place for efficient and friendly staff, good selection of drinks, food and clearly music. To guarantee a seat make sure to reserve a ticket in advance via web page and before visiting have a look in their calendar.
Diego beer bar is a continuation of two famous Mexican artists Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera's love story. Just like Frida and Diego were together but lived in separate houses, cafe Frida and Diego bar are located in Karlín district but one tram stop away from each other. Diego bar unlike the cafe is a bit more rough as it is located in the basement finished with red bricks, decorated with rusty car hanging on the wall and loft lighting.
The bar serves different kinds of tap beer from small breweries, selected spirits, new and little-known mezcals and rums. Mexico is the main inspiration for the food menu with dominant tacos and costillas. Diego bar is a great escape from day light and city noise, a place to relax and meet with friends over a glass of beer.
One thing about Cross Club is sure - you won't find the same futuristic design anywhere else in Prague, may be even in the whole world but I can't vouch for it. Cross Club is a multicultural centre that brings to public unconventional music genres ranging from dubstep to hardcore both in live and electronic form.
The club also operates as a venue for theatrical perfomances, readings, festivals, screenings of alternative films, discussions as well as a restaurant and a cafe.
Nice professional staff, delicious drinks and food, a beautiful spot - that is what people say about Cobra.
Cobra is a cafe at day time that turns into a pretty busy bar at night. It is entirely possible to spend a whole day in Cobra hiding from the rest of the world and starting with a morning espresso, continuing with a lunch and proceeding to a dinner with a shot or cocktail for a pleasant wave of endorphins. I suggest you check it out!
