Servus Heidi

Typically local

Takumi Chicken & Veggie

Asian kitchen

Takumi Chicken & Veggie is the second instance of the popular Japanese ramen shop Takumi in Munich and thus the fulfillment of a little dream for all fans of noodle soup. Within easy reach of a short walk from the subway station Theresienstraße you now have two options to enjoy the traditional Japanese food, which should help relax the occasionally longer evening waiting times.

As the name Chicken & Veggie already suggests, the focus here is on dishes with chicken and vegetables as the main ingredient, whereas the first restaurant "Sapporo Ramen Takumi" specializes in pork. A small extra highlight in the new store is that it does not only offer authentic ramen, but also curry like straight from Japan. But no matter which main course it may be, it can be accompanied by various Japanese delicacies - ranging from Takoyaki and Gyoza to Matcha ice cream for dessert. The menu is rounded off with a selection of Japanese drinks, including Kalpis, Kirin Ichiban and Sake.

The Takumi Chicken & Veggie is also presented in a pleasant modern wood aesthetic with warm colors that invites you to linger and is accompanied by a good mix of current Japanese music. In summer, the whole thing can also be enjoyed on its terrace in the sunshine. Reservations are not accepted by either of the two Takumis, so just give it a visit, when you feel like it.

Shami

Asian kitchen

Shami shows itself multifarious as a mixture of a bar, restaurant and street kitchen, providing Vietnamese dishes with Japanese influences and a European touch on a high level. This combination creates interesting and delicious new dishes, which promise variety compared to the partly homogeneous menus of the competition. Both the young owners and the service team shine with friendliness and attentiveness.
An equally elaborate concept like in the menu can also be seen in the interior. So during the day as well as in the evening pleasant visits can be spent in this beautiful location, as long as you don’t mind the partly cramped spatial conditions and have reserved a table beforehand.
