The Jimmy Woo was created by a hospitality-industry entrepreneur Casper Reiners, who also happens to be a Chinese antique collector. He had the idea to open a club in Amsterdam in the name of a fictional owner named Jimmy Woo. Jimmy Woo was a businessman from Hong Kong, who dealt in opium and was a kungfu master. The club is styled in a Chinese theme and many of the antiques of Reiners can be found here.
From the start Jimmy Woo has been a success. The club is regularly visited by the famous people amongst the Dutchies, like soccer players and soap stars and, less regularly, by internationally famous people. The crew of Ocean's Twelve and Rihanna have visited the Jimmy Woo. This even let to an offer from LA to open a similar club there, but Reiners rejected this.
Jimmy Woo is opened on Thursday, Fiday, Saturday and Sunday.
