Hugo chodí bos is a lovely toy store with authentic things made by Czech designers. The name of the store is an ingenious word-play that reminds of a famous brand and is translated as Hugo walks barefoot.

Now you can see the result of this hard work in a small but cozy shop in Řeznická street. All the toys are at all stages produced in the Czech Republic, have all the necessary certificates, are attractive, funny, made from quality materials, encourage kids' curiousity and help them to develop.

The story of Kuráž began with a bunch of friends over a glass of beer brainstorming for the best name of the shop they had just decided to open. And everyone around telling them that they are crazy fools not knowing what they are getting involved with. But then accidentally one of them said they need courage and thus the name of the future shop appeared and courage to make it happen.

Zahrada na niti (String garden)

Otros / Almacenes

Zahrada na niti (String garden) is a showroom, atelier and shop in one space. The owner of the shop Lenka Hrubá makes Japanese kokedamas or “levitating plants” from undemanding house plants that can hang indoors all year round and freshen any living space. You can also buy aerariums ("aer" meaning air in Latin) for small succulents or candles, handmade by Czech glassmakers. There are other accessories like bird feeders, houses for birds or for bugs, rain chains and lanterns, badges in the shape of cactus or floral-theme postcards in the shop.

Sometimes Lenka organizes so-called "herbal race" right in front of her shop String garden. That is a great herbal swap where everyone can bring their for different reasons unwanted plants and get something in exchange. What is also great in String garden is the atmosphere that always reminds me of the tropics: if you close your eyes for a moment you will feel its humidity and hear tiny birdies whistling.

Ema Mamisu

Otros / Almacenes

Ema Mamisu is a ceramic atelier and shop that makes original tableware for everyday use.

Ema's unreal surname is a disguised wordplay that can be translated as "Ema has a bowl" and I like such wordplays very much! The same applies to their ceramic pieces that apparently take a lot of time to make. Dotted bowls and mugs, cute mushrooms and branches or fake holes, that don't leak water because of tiny glaze coverage, lovely hearts at the bottom of plates, pastel colors - that is Ema Mamisu. Come to Jana Zajíce street to see Ema's ceramics for yourself and bring home something made locally with a lot of love and hard work!
