Odessa Art Museum is a world-class collection of the 17th -20th centuries Russian art, including the 16th -18th centuries Russian iconography. Almost all famous Russian painters of this time are represented here, in particular there are many maritime paintings of Ivan Aivazovsky and some early paintings of Wassily Kandinsky. The Museum is located in the Potockis’ Palace (1828, architect F. Boffo).

The Museum has several Open Days a year with free entrance since 10am till 5pm: January 6th (to the Eastern Orthodox Christmas Eve) April 11th (to the day of Odessa liberation in 1944) May 11th (to the Victory Day) May 18th (to the International Museums Day) June 1st ( to the International Children's Day, free entrance for the kids only) June 29th (to the Constitution Day) August 25th (to Independence Day) September 1st (to the new school year and Odessa's Birthday) October 1st (to the International Seniors Day, free entrance for the seniors only) 1 октября 10:30-17:30 Ко Дню граждан пожилого возраста. November 7th (to the Museum's birthday)
