Toulcův dvůr is a center for environmental education and a historical place first mentioned in 1362. It covers the area of 10 hectares that is a collection of different ecosystems, nowadays you can walk around forest, meadow, wetland, pasture, field or garden. Toulcův dvůr has its own farm with domestic animals of Czech breeds that regularly win awards in exhibitions. You can spot chicken, geese, cows, horses, rabbits, a pig, lambs and goats here.
The last owner of this set of buildings with backyard before it became state property was a man by name František Toulec. He was a wise, benevolent and hospitable man, who would never let a traveler leave hungry. For his kindness the yard bears his name.
Toulcův dvůr is a perfect place to spend the whole day outside with family, observing animals and walking around the areal. There is a nice canteen if one gets hungry, an infocenter and bioshop to buy some souvenirs and healthy snacks. The place organizes ceramics workshops, participates in markets and festivals.
